The Ninth Day of Historical Demography, with the theme Diseases, causes of death and the epidemiological transition, takes place 8 December 2016 in Maastricht.
The focus of this workshop is on research investigating the pathways that link socioeconomic status and later life health and how causal inference can be drawn concerning these pathways. Importantly, the workshop takes a multidisciplinary approach that aims to bring together leading international scholars from economics, demography and epidemiology.
On Wednesday 23 November 2016, the Netherlands Demographic Society (NVD) is organizing the 9th Dutch Demography Day in the Academy Building of Utrecht University. At the Demography Day 2016 the most recent findings in the broad and interdisciplinary field of population studies will be presented. The scientific program comprises a Keynote Address and several rounds of both English and Dutch language parallel sessions, as well as a poster session.
HAPS Seminar "How to get to 100 – and enjoy it"
January 12 2016, the PRC/NIDI/HAPS Ageing & mortality research meeting will take place at the Van Swinderen Huys in Groningen followed by a HAPS lecture by Mikko Myrskyla (director Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research)
