NWO Veni grant for Marleen Damman

28 July 2017

The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) has awarded a Veni grant worth up to 250,000 euros to 154 researchers who have recently obtained their doctorate. NIDI researcher Marleen Damman has been awarded a Veni grant for her research proposal "Retirement of the solo self-employed".

The group of solo self-employed is growing and is becoming increasingly diverse. Which of these solo self-employed individuals are in control over their own retirement? This project examines how work- and career-related diversity within the group of solo selfemployed is related to retirement preparation and retirement experiences.

The Veni grant provides highly promising young scientists with the opportunity to further elaborate their own ideas during a period of three years. The Veni is awarded by NWO every year.

NIDI heartily congratulates Marleen with this prestigious grant.
